In the last year the Chinese yuan has been depreciating – it has gone from 6.2 yuan/dollar to 6.78 yuan/dollar in the last twelve months. This week pray for wisdom for China’s economy, business leaders, and government.
How to pray:
– Pray for China’s leaders to make wise, just, and equitable financial and economic decisions. Pray that their priority will be the good of the country and its people.
– Pray for the poor and vulnerable in China during times of economic fluctuation. Pray for continued economic growth that will benefit the least in society and lend to stable and healthy communities.
– Pray for the church to preach clearly on how the gospel impacts our attitudes toward money. Pray for the idol of wealth to be challenged and for China’s resources to be submitted to the kingship and lordship of Christ. Pray for God’s economic blessing of China to be stewarded faithfully by his children.
– Pray for churches, ministries, pastors, and foreign workers who are reliant on the Chinese yuan to be unharmed financially.
